Mark Knopfler and Peter Frampton / James Bond theme songs

Mark Knopfler and Peter Frampton are among the guests on a new album by Brian Bennett, the longtime drummer with British chart champions the Shadows.

Knopfler plays on "All The Time In The World" (1969), Barry's composition with lyricist Hal David that became a hit for Louis Armstrong, from the soundtrack of the James Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". Frampton appears on a new version of another Bond theme, "Thunderball," (1965) and Marvin on "The Appointment".

Knopfler, a lifelong Shadows fan, says that "All The Time In The World" was one of Barry's personal favourites. It was such a thrill to be asked to contribute to this version by Brian, one of my all-time favourite great drummers and a fine composer and arranger himself.

Listen to Peter Frampton on "Thunderball" (track 1) and Mark Knopfler on "All The Time In The World" (track 9) on the Brian Bennett Orchestra's Shadowing John Barry on Spotify.

007 Event: A Bond For Life World Premiere

Benjamin Lind is a Fellow Agent of 007 Travelers.

What: A Bond For Life Charity World Premiere
Where: C1 CINEMA Braunschweig, Germany
When: 12 March 2016, at 6pm.

Music: Swiss composer Yannick Zenhäusern

Tickets: Tickets are still available for the price of 10 Euros via the official website of the cinema. VIP Tickets that include the After-Party have sold out. The ticket revenues will be donated to UNICEF in full and the final sum raised will be announced on the film's Facebook page at

As the first of its kind, the non-commercial charity James Bond Fan-documentary “A
Bond For Life“ portrays the devoted fan-love of director Benjamin Lind that began
almost exactly twenty years ago. When he saw his first Bond film “GoldenEye“ in
cinema in 1996, it was love at first sight. From then on, the films accompanied him
through difficult and challenging years. When the sudden cancer death of his mother
turned his world upside down in 1997, it was the fictional novel- and screen hero
James Bond who gave him stability and a fantasy world to escape to. Being
increasingly confronted with the serious side of life, Lind saw himself tasked with the
challenge of balancing fantasy world and reality. With this combination, “A Bond For
Life“ is equally autobiography as well as journey through the exciting James Bond

“A Bond For Life“ is dedicated to Barbara Broccoli & Michael G. Wilson, the
producers of the James Bond films. Since 1995, they both control the fate of the
family business EON Productions Ltd. in London as well as that of the James Bond
franchise, which has become the longest-running film series in the history of cinema
with a total of 24 films.

Aside from the cinematic idea, another heartfelt wish became the focus for director
Benjamin Lind: the final film should benefit a charitable cause. Together with
UNICEF, the internationally operating United Nations Children's Fund whose line of ambassadors also include former James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore, Lind was now
able to realize this wish. “We, who live in rich economic nations and don ́t have to
give much thought to where our next meal is coming from, have so much and give so
little”, says Lind. “Millions of children die every year as a result of malnutrition. The
co-operation with UNICEF enables me to do my bit with my film project and support
vital aid operations.“

A number of famous guest stars have kindly agreed to being part of this documentary
film project and contributing interviews.

Between 1997 and 2008, film composer David Arnold (53)
delivered the music for five James Bond films (“Tomorrow
Never Dies
“, “The World Is Not Enough“, “Die Another
“, “Casino Royale“ and “Quantum of Solace“).
Additionally, he composed the music for “Stargate“ (1994),
Independence Day“ (1996), “Godzilla“ (1998) as well as
the TV series “Little Britain“ (2003) and “Sherlock“ (2010).

At the age of 20, the Greek-born actress relocated to
London to pursue a career in acting. In 2012, she had a
short appearance alongside Daniel Craig in the 23rd James
Bond film “Skyfall“. She then starred in the 2014 film
Hercules“ with Dwayne Johnson.

The Danish actor (49) rose to international fame after his
portrayal of Bond villain Le Chiffre in the 21st James Bond
film “Casino Royale“ (2006). TV audiences might know
Mikkelsen from the American series “Hannibal“ (2013-
2015). The French-German co-production "Michael
“ earned him a César nomination.

Actress and model Béatrice Libert appeared in her first
film role as Mademoiselle Deradier alongside Sir Roger
Moore in the 11th James Bond Film “Moonraker“ (1979).
After that, she starred in two more films “Josepha“ (1982)
and “Nobody’s Woman“ (1984).

The 47 year old German actor celebrated his
international breakthrough alongside Pierce Brosnan in
the 18th James Bond film “Tomorrow Never Dies
(1997). Many film appearances followed such as in
Downfall“ (2004) and “Iron Sky“ (2012). Recently, Otto
could be seen on stage in “The King’s Speech“.

Between 1962 and 1979, the Berlin-born actress lent her
voice to many Bond Girls in a total of 10 Bond films and
was subsequently dubbed "The Voice of the Bond Girls“.

Aside from many musicals and hit songs, British lyricist
Don Black (77) wrote the Bond title songs “Thunderball“,
Diamonds Are Forever“, “The Man With The Golden
“ together with composer John Barry as well as "The
World Is Not Enough
“ with Garbage.

The British actress (74) twice appeared as a Bond Girl
alongside Sean Connery – first in “From Russia With
“ (1963) and again in “Thunderball“ (1965). After
that, she starred in a number of films by the legendary
Hammer Studios.

Lyons had hist first appearance as an extra in “Star
“ (1977). Beside many other film productions, he
starred alongside Sir Roger Moore in the Bond films
Octopussy“ (1983), “A View To A Kill“ (1985) as well as
alongside Timothy Dalton in “The Living Daylights
(1987) and finally in “GoldenEye“ (1995) with Pierce
Brosnan. In total, Lyons participated in over 77 film

The Italian-born actress (78) portrayed cold-blooded
killer Fiona Volpe in “Thunderball“ (1965) alongside
Sean Connery. During the 1960‘s she appeared in
many spy thrillers and TV series. Together with her
husband, Hollywood producer Michael Solomon, she
resides in Los Angeles.

Berlin-born Adam achieved world fame as a production
designer of the James Bond films for which he
designed gigantic set constructions like the gold depot
of Fort Knox in “Goldfinger“ (1964), the volcano in “You
Only Live Twice
“ (1967) as well as the Moonraker
exhaust chamber in “Moonraker“ (1979). Adam has
won two Academy Awards.

Benjamin Lind (34) became a Bond fan with the
seventeenth film of the series and has since followed
the production of all subsequent films. In 2012, he
launched the fan website “The Bond Bulletin“ as a blog
and expanded it to an online news magazine in 2015.
In April 2014, Lind was one of the founding members of
the James Bond Club Deutschland e.V. and occupies a
post as adviser in its executive committee. In his
professional life, he supports pupils and adults as a
self-employed language coach for English.

See Benjamin Lind´s interview by 007 Travelers here.

A UK Charity Premiere will take place in London (date TBA). Further individual charity screenings of the film in Germany, Switzerland, France, The Netherlands and Spain are planned for 2016 and will be organized and coordinated with local UNICEF branches as well as James Bond Clubs/communities. Exact dates will be made available on the film‘s official Facebook page in a timely manner. Since the film is a non-commercial documentary, it will neither be available on DVD or Blu-Ray nor as a video stream on the Internet. To guarantee a maximum donation effect on a European level, all ticket earnings (p.r.n. minus minimal costs) will be donated to UNICEF. Proof of that will be made available via social media.

James Bond - sarjakuva VARGR

James Bond suorittaa salaista tehtävää Helsingissä uudessa Bond-tarinassa.

Kyseessä on marraskuussa 2015 a
lkanut uusi Bond-sarjakuva James Bond 007: VARGR. Se on ensimmäinen James Bondista tehty sarjakuva vuoden 1996 jälkeen.

Yhdysvaltalaisen sarjakuvan alussa James Bond jahtaa miestä rakennustyömaalle lumisessa Helsingissä. He tappelevat käyttäen aseinaan lapioita. Tappelu on hyvin verinen. Sen lopuksi käy ilmi, että mies oli murhannut agentti 008:n ja Bond on kostomatkalla. Miehelle käy kovin huonosti.

Sarjakuvan on käsikirjoittanut palkittu sarjakuvantekijä Warren Ellis. Ellis on käynyt Suomessa ainakin kerran. Hän oli Helsingin Sarjakuvafestivaalien kunniavieras syksyllä 2006.

Ellis kuvailee sarjakuvan tapahtumapaikkaa io9-verkkosivun haastattelussa:

“Se tapahtuu yhdessä niistä loputtoman tuntuisilta rakennustyömailta, jotka ympäröivät Helsinkiä ja joissa rakennetaan beigen värisiä brutalistisia rakennuksia. Jos olisin halunnut kirjoittaa vitsin, olisin laittanut heidät juoksemaan rautatiekiskojen toisella puolella olleen death metal -karaokebaarin läpi.”
